Vintage 14K Gold and Jade Hidden Art Ring - Hand Carved - Size 7.5 - Pure Jadeite

This is a spectacular vintage 14K and genuine jadeite jade ring with hidden hand carved artwork that creates a small optical illusion in the light.

I did not even see the carving until I started restoring the ring. Jade must be cleaned by hand, no machines or chemicals. As I was cleaning I started noticing the grooves until I finally got the surface spotless clean underneath - the carving appeared and to me it looks like a bamboo tree.

There is physical carving on the underside of the jade that creates the optical illusion.

It's extremely difficult to get the illusion to line up for a camera, but I tried. I did capture some very detailed pictures of the carving itself.

When looking at the ring into the light, you can see the carving match up to the colors of the jade that become the leaves on the bamboo tree. You must take off the ring to shine light in from the backside. The illusion does not appear when being worn.

This is a rare collectible, and would make an excellent gentleman's pinky ring.

The gold is hallmarked and tested 585 14K The jadeite is genuine with a mottled transition of color.
