Antique Hand Carved Imperial Jade Shakyamuni Bhudda Gemstone Pendant

Antique imperial jade carving of Shakyamuni Bhudda - Traditional Bhudda.

This hand carved sculpture is approximately 1.25 inches tall by 0.75 inches at the widest point. The artwork is very detailed and amazing, and it's ready to be put into your new jewelry.

The gentle hue of the jade is amazing in the lighter points and shows quite translucent in areas.

This item is a jewelry recovery item from my treasure hunting. Unfortunately the gold could not be saved, but the jade amulet will hopefully find another live to bless.

Identifying features visible the 32 major marks (lakshanas) of a Buddha in Buddhist art and texts.

Ushnisha — the raised cranial protuberance / topknot on the crown of the head (symbolizing expanded wisdom and enlightenment).

Urna — the circular mark or raised dot in the center of the forehead (representing a tuft of hair that emits spiritual light).

Elongated earlobes — stretched from the heavy earrings the Buddha wore as a prince before renouncing worldly life.

Serene expression with downcast or half-closed eyes and a gentle smile (the classic meditative, compassionate look).
