Antique Sterling Silver Fruit Knife – Mother of Pearl Handle, James Dixon & Sons 1800's

Antique Sterling "King William" Silver Pocket Fruit Knife with Mother of Pearl Handle by world famous James Dixon & Sons Silversmiths of Sheffield England. Hallmarked with King William Cameo and the Lion Heart Passant. Circa early to mid 1800's. The entire blade and the workings are all made of sterling silver.

As you can see from the pictures, the item is in great condition. The blade folds in and out very nicely with a perfect amount of resistance. There are some marks and tarnish spots from use and age, however the silver is very well polished, shines wonderfully and has an excellent patina. It has not been restored or altered in any way. It is 100% original.

The gradients in the Mother of Pearl handle are a very fine touch, and give it excellent grip and a very polished finish.

There is no monogram on this one, however there is a small space on the handle in sterling silver that could be initialed.

The linear art design is fantastic, it has been tailored in hand made artwork across the back spine.
