1976 Sterling Silver Commemorative Plate - John Hancock - Declaration of Independence

A gorgeous vintage collector's plate in solid sterling silver for the American Patriot from 1976. Now a half century old!

This is a commemorative sterling silver plate from the Franklin Mint depicting John Hancock signing the Declaration of Independence - 250 years ago. The plate comes complete with the collectible box as shown. There is no paperwork that I can find for it. The plate is in excellent condition. The box is in very good condition with some slight "dog-ear" on the corners of the box as you can see in the pictures.

The plate weighs just over 249 grams in solid sterling silver, which is a treasure in itself. The Franklin Mint is legendary for producing high quality collectible pieces, and this one is quite well known and famous.
