Antique Large Placer Gold Nugget Man's Ring in 14K Setting - Size 9

Antique Handmade 14K Gold Gentlemen's Ring with Large Solid Placer Gold Nugget. This ring is very bold, and the wave design on the setting is very unique! It appears to have been made around the nugget.

The ring setting itself is made of 14K Yellow Gold - tested and verified. This ring is quite old, and has seen a lot of wear. The 14K hallmark is almost entirely worn off, you can just barely see the 1 and part of the 4 now.

The gold nugget itself is a raw solid gold placer nugget of pure gold, right out of the earth. Thick, heavy, solid and very high carat. Perfect for the classic gentleman.

Condition is excellent. Especially for the age. The setting has been recently polished and sanitized. I avoided polishing the nugget to ensure that the natural luster and beauty is unfettered.

Total weight of the ring is a hefty 15.7 grams. A standard setting like this is usually 6-8 grams with the remainder being the high carat placer nugget. I am assuming the gold nugget is likely 22K or higher purity. There is no apparent quartz or any other material. It is one big giant nugget! All of the weight in this ring falls forward on the nugget.
